The Latest From AutoFlow
AutoFlow Change of Ownership
As you are most likely aware, the AutoFlow ownership has changed and the new owner is Madison Enterprises.
I shall remain as a director of AutoFlow and have day to day involvement, assisting the new Managing Director Christopher Yates settle into his new role. I would like to wish Christopher and his team continued success.
Chris Yates joined AutoFlow as a software developer in 1999. Previously he has worked in development, installation, training and project management. Recent years has seen Chris work on our business development programs with a particular focus on the REPEX services. His knowledge and experience of our products, customers and company culture make him a natural appointment to the role of Managing Director.
My history in the repair industry goes back some 40 years and I have had some amazing times and met incredible people. I hope to continue with my journey, but at slightly slower pace and profile. So thank you all for your support, kindness and friendship and don’t hesitate to call me if you think I can be of assistance.
Director AutoFlow Ltd
I am both excited and proud to have been given the opportunity to lead the team at AutoFlow. It’s been a pleasure to be part of the AutoFlow journey from its inception in 2000 to its present position as the market leader in providing bodyshop management software in the UK. The core team at AutoFlow remains as before and with Gary still involved as a director it is very much business as usual.
The acquisition of AutoFlow by Madison is a positive one for both the company and our customers. The new directors of AutoFlow have a wealth of experience and a passion for the bodyshop industry, something which will only serve to drive the company forward. The board have already approved significant investments in our development and support departments which customers will start to see the benefits of in the very near future.
There have been several anonymous commentators using online media to speculate about what the implications of this takeover may have for our customers. I would like to reassure all of our customers that nothing has changed in regards to access to data. We have contracts in place which enforce rules of access and these have not changed in anyway and we will maintain our commitment and integrity when it comes to data security.
We made a huge investment last year in upgrading the database and tool set our management system uses which will bring performance and security gains for all our customers. If you are not on the latest version of the AutoFlow (4G.06.01) please contact our support team email@example.com to arrange an update to this version as soon as possible. This update is a major update to the system and will incur some downtime, which I realise is not convenient but this update is a vital upgrade to ensure continued support for the new Auda Connect estimate link and our upcoming update. As ever our updates are free for our customers.
The GDPR regulations that come into force in May present some unique challenges to the bodyshop industry. With this in mind we have developed specific data protection features within our AutoFlow Management System which will be available for our customers by the beginning of March.
We are actively looking at improving how we communicate with our customers. To this end we will be looking at using social media, webinars and our own website to provide much more information about what updates are coming your way and other industry associated news.
2018 is promising to be an exciting time for the bodyshop industry and I look forward to working with our customers and industry partners to ensure that AutoFlow continues to innovate for the benefit of repairers.
